Are you Facing a Challenge? Is Your Dream Just Beyond a Hurdle?

  1- Stop and ask yourself, "Am I a fighter or a quitter?" 2- Recognize that challenges are an unavoidable part of life. 3- Obstacles and hurdles are to be expected. Instead of giving in to discouragement, try to focus on the positive lessons you could learn. 4- Instead of allowing the challenge to weaken you or break you down, try to devise a legitimate strategy to deal with the situation in a way that will be helpful to you, not only now, but in the future. 5- Acknowledge that perception is key. If you make up your mind that you cannot, you will not. 6- No matter which way you go, not all roads will be smooth and simple. You need to be strong enough to get through an obstruction in your way. 7- Learn to rein in your emotions so they will not get the best of you. 8- If your goal or dream is worthwhile, there will be obstacles and challenges, and you must be willing to deal with them. 9- Make sure you are not held back from moving forward by discouragement, lack of motivation...

Being in Control

  Choose one of the three previous statements and after thinking about it, write about it in your journal. 1- Re-write it in your own way as it is applicable to you right now. 2- Interpret that statement to any area of your life that you choose (past or present). 3- Expound on it as it applies to your work right now. 4- From your point of view, what part of the statement you chose is the most important to you or to your work? 5- Which one of the 3 statements encourages you or teaches you something practical that you can use in your life or your work at this time as a motivating factor?
