Let's Get Motivated!

Image
When things go wrong with your plans and your world tilts a little, hang on! How would you do that? How do you manage when things seem to go crazy and beyond your control? Write about it in your journal or doodle about it. If you are drowning, float until you can swim again. Whatever you do, don't sink. Make a list in your journal on how to float, doodle about it or do both. If you can't keep up with things, take a breather, so you won't be rushed into making mistakes.  Write or doodle about it in your journal. When you can't do anything more, just try being present.  Write a list of actions you can take (practical ones), even if they are small, to be present. Revisit a moment in your life that was pivotal but not negative. What made it so important? What was the result of it? How do you feel about it? Is there anything you need to let go about the experience? Write at length about it, touching not only on the key points but elaborating as much as possible. Try to fill at least two pages. What does showing up for life means to you? Explain.

Gratitude Journaling

Image
What are you grateful for today? What memories bring gratitude to your heart? What difference has some people made in your life? What blessings have you received along the way? What acts of kindness have you received? What have you done to pass them on? Write about it all in your journal.

Writing Prompts

Describe your childhood. Describe your teen years. When did you fall in love for the first time? Who was your first love? What made you fall in love? Did you have a song? What changed in the relationship? How did it affect you? Have you ever written that person into your writing? Why?  Why not? How did you describe them? Why? Would you remember them if you ever heard that song? Would the memory bring pain or would you feel happy that you once had their love? How would you describe the feelings?
