Open Doors...



What doors do you wish would open for you?
How persevering are you when you have a goal?
How hard are you willing to work for it?
How long are you willing to wait till you reach your goal?
How many difficulties are you willing to deal with?
Journal about it.


Here are some suggestions about opening professional doors as a writer;

1. Keep a positive attitude--believe in your ability to open doors and achieve your goals.

2. Stay focused and organized--know what you want and go after it.

3. Set aside time each day to work on your writing goals.

4. Get involved in your local writing community.

5. Attend writers' conferences and workshops.

6. Join a writers' group.

7. Read books on the business of writing.

8. Query editors and agents.

9. Keep a blog and an active social media presence.

10. Keep writing, revising, and submitting your work.

 Stay focused.

Don't Let Hope Get Cynical

Life has its ups and downs, its ebbs and its flows, but your dreams is the same as it ever was, don't let hope get cynical. You can make it! Without forgetting the child in you, nurture the grown-up in your fondest aspirations. You can transform your life by what you choose to do or not to do today. Have it your way, working at it all the day. Do not keep your hopes at the edge of ruin, work on them so they'll come alive!
