A Big Choice

When it comes to your goals and dreams, make sure that you don't make emotional, rash moves, make sure you move solidly!
When you have to make a big choice, don't go with your feelings but with what you can trust.

Here is a list of journaling prompts based on the question of whether or not you make decisions emotionally and rashly or in a calmer and methodical way.

What is a big choice you made in the past? Did you follow your feelings or what you could trust? How did it turn out? What made you decide the way you did?
Think of a big choice you will have to make in the near future. What paths could you take? What options do you have? What can you trust in making this decision?
What does "what you can trust" mean to you? How do you determine what you can trust?
Write about a time when you followed your feelings instead of what you could trust. What happened? What did you learn? Would you do it again?
How do your feelings influence your decision-making process? Are there times when you should ignore your feelings and trust something else?
Do you consider yourself a practical or an emotional person?
What are some strategies you can use to evaluate your options when making a big choice? How can you gather information and weigh the pros and cons?
How do your values and beliefs influence your decision-making process? Are there times when you should prioritize your values over your feelings?
Write about a time when you had to make a big choice that went against your feelings. How did you cope with the discomfort or uncertainty?
What are some potential risks or downsides to following what you can trust instead of your feelings? How can you mitigate these risks?
How can journaling help you clarify your thoughts and feelings when making a big choice? What role can journaling play in helping you identify what you can trust?
What are some big choices you've made in the past? Did you go with your feelings or with what you could trust?
How do you determine what you can trust when making a big choice? Can you set aside your emotions and make a clear and entirely rational choice?
What are some common feelings that might lead you astray when making a big choice?

Write or journal basing yourself on any of these prompts to examine what prompts your choices and decisions when you are faced with a big choice.
