How Do You Deal With The Bumps in The Process of Getting "There"?


It is blatantly obvious that dreams don't come true
without elbow grease and good planning,
so don't get discouraged by the amount of work
it takes, that's just part of the process!

Do you allow hindrances to discourage you to the point of giving up on a cherished dream or aspiration? Here are some prompts to help you journal about what it takes, in your particular circumstances for the attainment of your particular goals and dreams and how you would cope
with the unavoidable struggles and obstacles that are part of the "process" of getting "there".

  • Have you ever learned something valuable from a hindrance or setback? If so, what was it?
  • What advice would you give to someone who is feeling discouraged by a hindrance or obstacle?
  • How can you reframe hindrances as opportunities for growth and learning, rather than as reasons to give up?
